DEFINE YOUR CORE VALUES

Your core values are the things that matter the most to you, which you are not willing to compromise in order to achieve your mission. Identifying these values keep you true to yourself. There is no satisfaction in accomplishing your mission if you have to compromise your values.

Exercise to define your core values:

Look at the list of below. You want to find the 4-5 words that describe who you naturally are the most. Don’t pick the ones that you WANT to be. Pick the ones that are already natural to you.

1. Strike through the words that are definitely not you.

2. Underline the ones that are like you or you are passionate about.

3. Rate the underlined words on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most important to you.

4. Circle the 3-5 that are ranked the highest.

Take these words and write them in the core values page. Create a one sentence description of what that word means to you so that it's clear what the value actually is, since some words can have multiple definitions.
